They have been gracious enough to allow us to display them throughout our offices. But you don't have to be a celebrity to receive our VIP treatment or to have a gorgeous smile, once just for the wealthy or elite, gorgeous smiles are now easier, quicker and more affordable than ever.
Smile Makeovers are the primary service offered by Dental Visits for Cosmetic Dentistry. They’re highly technical processes requiring great skills and experience to achieve natural results. It’s not taught at all or only touched upon in dental school - dentists must learn the techniques in post-graduate courses and then perfect the art through extensive experience. For this reason, most dentists do not focus on this discipline. It takes artistic ability and extensive knowledge to perform impeccable Smile Makeovers. The techniques require precise measurements based upon mouth shape, gum lines, lips, and natural shape of the teeth. That's why we devote time to precisely planning Smile Makeovers before we begin the actual procedure. During a patient's initial consultation, our team can download a digital photograph into an imaging program and show the client what their new smile can look like. Extensive Smile Makeovers treatments may require as few as two appointments that are typically several hours each depending on the complexity.
"With each patient, we can create a unique makeover to fit their age and sex, facial features and characteristics," says Dr. Judy Johnson. "Most people don't realize how much we can reshape their teeth, smile and entire appearance. You know when a Smile Makeover is done well, because the new restorations truly are undetectable and all you see is a gorgeous new smile."
Appearance plays a key role in people's perceptions of others. And the first thing people notice about you is your smile.
A survey of American adults found:
More than 92% agree that an attractive smile is an important social asset; Nearly as many, close to 88%, say they always remember someone with an especially attractive smile; 85% agree that an unattractive smile makes a person less appealing to people of the opposite sex; 74% agree that an unattractive smile can hurt a person's chances for career success.
Yet! Only 50% are satisfied with their smile.
You may have any number of reasons for wanting to change your smile. You may want to correct problems you've had since childhood such as discolored, gapped, or crooked teeth. You may want to fix conditions you've developed over time, like cracked or worn-down teeth, to help create a more youthful smile. You may want a beautifully natural smile instead of your opaque white crowns, discolored old bonding or dark metallic fillings from past dental work.
At Dental Visits for Cosmetic Dentistry, our job is to determine the right treatment for your specific problem. Today, there are a variety of techniques and materials that can correct these situations and make a real difference in your smile. If you are considering cosmetic dental treatment, the best way to appreciate the end result is to look at photos of other clients we've helped get gorgeous smiles, especially those with problems similar to yours.
Will It Hurt?
There are few issues in our practice that have been the focus of as much emphasis as this one. Today with better equipment and better medications, patients are much more comfortable in their treatment. Once we have a treatment plan outlined, questions about discomfort and pain control can easily be answered. Above all don't put off cosmetic procedures, and certainly not needed dental care, because of past fears of pain. Give us the chance to show you what today's dentistry offers.
How Long Will It Take?
Each individual patient is a unique case, therefore it is difficult to quote a time schedule. On average, an in house whitening procedure will last about an hour and a half. Bonding cases can be accomplished in a matter of hours in one visit. Other cases that involve bridges and porcelain veneers require us to prepare the teeth on the first visit, after which you will be sent home with a customized temporary set of teeth. After your case is returned from our world class laboratories, we will seat your permanent crowns, veneers or bridges.
Can I afford it?
The question sometimes arises, "How much does cosmetic dentistry cost?" That’s a broad question and the answer can vary as widely as the question, "How much does a car cost?" The answer is that the price varies depending on the quality, Makeovers, and workmanship that you want in the finished product as well as the care and attention that you receive along the way. Although sometimes inquiries are only about cost, that should not be the determining factor. Just as if you were selecting a brain surgeon, or even a restaurant or hotel for that matter, you wouldn't want to make your selection based on price alone. First, Ask Yourself--
- What is your smile worth to you?
- How does it make you feel?
- How could a gorgeous new smile change your life?
Like all purchases, cost is relative to value. To some, a luxury vehicle is expensive, but to others, it's a great value. No two patients are alike. And in our practice, all cosmetic dentistry is tailored to the individual needs and wants of the patient. The cost of our cosmetic procedures for any one patient can range from as little as a few hundred dollars to thousands. That's because cosmetic procedures can run the gamut from entry-level procedures such as tooth whitening to complex full-mouth restoration cases. There is no "cookie-cutter" approach to cosmetic dentistry. We believe each patient should have the benefit of a prescribed combination of treatments best suited to bring about their individually customized beautiful smile.
Cost Factors
The adage - "you get what you pay for" -- is certainly true for a number of purchases, and this includes great cosmetic dentistry. Factors that influence our fees include our investment in expensive space-age materials, the latest dental technology, leading-edge continuing education, the credentials of our doctors and staff, and the use of world-class laboratories. These things among many others, sets our offices apart. At Dental Visits for Cosmetic Dentistry, we use master ceramists to handcraft porcelain restorations because we realize that no two patients are alike. Some patients have straight-forward cases and some are complex.
